F.S.Mackenzie recently donated a 10ft container to a local school in Liverpool as part of the Scrapstore Playpods programme.
Scrapstore playpods provide school children with a wide variety of recycled, and loose-parts materials, such as tyres, plastic crates, rope netting, dress-up clothes and costumes, pipes, cardboard boxes and tubes, pieces of foam, and much more. These materials, which are sourced for little or no cost, help young people to freely choose, personally direct and intrinsically motivate themselves during break times and lunch times.
The play pods positively encourage student behaviour, and show reduced incidents of misbehaviour as student creativity and purpose is cultivated in their free time.
F.S.Mackenzie’s contribution will help the school, set in one of Europe’s most deprived wards, to continue to foster a happy and purposeful learning environment for their students.
